Pictures from Bangkok 11 August 2006

Just a few hours in Bangkok before we boarded a bus for Koh Tao. This is the democracy monument in the middle of town at dusk.

Mother's day is celebrated on the Queen's birthday -- we stumbled on public demonstration of support for the holiday.

Okay, novice blogger here, so I guess my comments to you both are for all to see, so let me say "WOOOOOHOOOOOO"! Your trip looks awesome. It's been almost exactly a year since we left New Zealand - in the long run this year you're taking will be such a small amount of time and you will be SOOOOOOO glad you did it. The stories, the pictures, the comments. Yay! I can't wait to see where you go next. - Liz

I'll third the shaved head pic. :D

I'm so incredibly jealous...everything looks fabulous and it seems you're having an amazing time. I guess I didn't realize Sheila and her friend would be there as well--looks like so much fun! I'll be living vicariously through you two for awhile.
